Tiger 1 Early Version Plastic Edition

The Tiger 1 is an iconic symbol of World War II, renowned for its formidable presence on the battlefield. Armed with the powerful 8.8cm KwK 36 gun, this tank weighed over 50 tons and was feared by enemy forces. Between 1942 and 1944, over 1,300 units were produced, with the King Tiger eventually replacing it in the field. The Taigen Tiger 1 captures the essence of this legendary tank, featuring an array of realistic functions that mirror its historical counterpart. Available in various colors and firing options, this model is ready-to-run (RTR) straight out of the box. Proportional control is standard for both throttle and turret rotation, complemented by a proportional smoke unit that responds to the throttle input. The turret boasts a 270-degree rotation (with a 360-degree kit upgrade available), elevation control, and the capability to fire either 6mm BBs or an infrared beam for engaging in tank battles.

Historical Significance

The Tiger 1 was first introduced by Nazi Germany as a response to the challenges faced by its armored forces during the early years of World War II. Its combination of firepower, armor protection, and mobility set new standards for tank design and had a significant impact on tank warfare. The Tiger 1 was deployed in various theaters of the war, including North Africa and the Eastern Front, where it proved to be a formidable opponent against Allied tanks. Its ability to destroy enemy armor from long distances made it a feared adversary. Despite its effectiveness, the Tiger 1 faced challenges, including mechanical reliability issues and fuel consumption. As the war progressed and the Allies developed more effective anti-tank tactics and weapons, the Tiger's dominance began to wane. Nevertheless, its legacy as a symbol of German engineering and military prowess endures, making it one of the most recognized and studied tanks of World War II.
